This is a “white box” venue in the best sense, offering a bright, high-contrast environment where marble floors and coastal light provide a crisp backdrop for sophisticated floral palettes.

Successful design here requires an understanding of scale. The venue’s clean lines and expansive waterfront views can easily swallow timid arrangements. To make an impact, we focus on structural integrity for the outdoor elements and lush, architectural moments for the interior’s transition points.

The Spaces

Summerwind Ballroom

Named after the Sinatra classic, this room is the definition of modern luxury. With a 300-guest capacity and custom-built windows overlooking Mill Pond, the space is flooded with natural light during the day and glows with globe chandeliers at night.

• What works: High-low centerpiece mixes. The room is large enough to handle tall, airy installations on thin gold or acrylic stands that mirror the modern chandeliers. For low arrangements, use sleek, heavy vessels that feel grounded against the marble.
• Skip: Short, “fluffy” arrangements that lack a defined silhouette. They tend to disappear against the scale of the windows.
• Watch out: The custom bars at both ends of the room. These are high-traffic areas; prioritize long, low “ledge” arrangements here that won’t be easily knocked over by guests ordering drinks.
• Budget hero move: Focus your floral spend on the head table or sweetheart table. Because the room is so bright and open, a single, lush floral hedge here will anchor the entire reception in photos.

Grand Foyer

• Watch out: The marble floors are slippery. Any floral installation on the stairs must be perfectly contained with no water leakage.

Outdoor Ceremony Lawn

The lawn offers a classic Long Island waterfront experience. A wooden pergola serves as the focal point, framed by the water of Mill Pond.

Repurpose aisle meadows to the ballroom. The clean, open floor plan of the Summerwind Ballroom makes it easy to move ground-level arrangements from the ceremony to the reception.
